I actually weighed in yesterday as I was out anyway and had been eager to weigh in since Friday! Does anyone else get excited about weighing in? It seems ludicrous but I suppose when you're aware that you've had a good week and know you've put the effort in you want to see the results. Anyway...
Weighing in yesterday I'd lost 2lbs - putting me at a 13lb loss since the beginning of my 10 week pledge. I think what's really helped me recently in terms of my losses has been seriously cutting out 'treat' foods (I hate calling them that but you all know the types of things I'm referring to). So, rather than staying within my calorie limit and indulging in some chocolate as I'd seen Jillian Michaels advise (think 200 cals worth of dark chocolate rather than, say, a Snickers bar) I've been eating better foods instead whilst still staying within my calorie limit and usually under - I'm currently working at 1380 calories and generally I'm not eating extra calories after workouts as Myfitnesspal allows you to but I will if necessary.
I am, however, occasionally allowing myself some of these foods i.e. once a week or fortnight maximum although I will cut that out if I feel myself moving towards a binge or if I think it's causing any sort of issues. My measurements have also decreased and I'm really starting to see the changes in my body, for example, I went shopping on Sunday and picked up my 'normal' size and in everything I picked up I needed at least a size down and in some I needed 2 sizes down! It's great to see my hard work paying off in such a way and I'm really hoping that I can scope out somewhere to run (I live in the centre of a city so there are roads everywhere which makes this incredibly difficult but fingers crossed!) so that I can begin the couch to 5k programme!
I hope everyone else is doing well! :)
You are doing so well!
