New scales!

Sorry I've not been updating regularly, I've got a big post coming up which I've written for a competition but it's something which I've wanted to write about for a while to recognise the changes I've made which have helped me etc.

Anyway, I've finally bought myself a pair of scales so no more sheepish looks in Boots to ensure that no one is laughing at the fat girl weighing herself (yes, it does feel like that when I'm out there doing it!) I've lost 5lbs since my last weigh in at Boots - combination of actual loss, weighing myself without clothes and the time of day weighing myself! However, I know that I'll only consistently weigh myself when I wake up so that's the best way for me to do it - I'd say in reality it's a 2lb loss.

Keeping up with eating 'cleaner', lots of greek yoghurt for breakfast, grilled chicken and veg for lunches and whatever meat is out of the freezer for dinner with green beans and small amount of potatoes. I've tried sweet potatoes but I really dislike them and I don't think the amount of white potatoes I have is actually detrimental but I may try eliminating if I begin to plateau so as everything is going well at the moment I'll keep with what I'm doing.

Also looking at getting myself a good pair of trainers with my Christmas money which is burning a hole in my pocket!! Does anyone have any ideas if these would be any good, or if these would be better, I'm looking to use them for running in the future but currently just for workouts in the flat. I'm at a bit of a loss with what to look for but want to make sure I've got a decent amount of support because that's what I loved about the ones I had before which I have no idea what brand/model they were.

Again, hope everyone's well! I'm off to catch the second half of the Man United match and peruse the adidas sale and hope that not everything is as ridiculous as this seriously, other than tennis players, who wants to work out in a dress? Not me anyway...

  1. Sounds like things are going well.
I'm a big fan of New Balance for running and my recent Asics are not too bad either, though I haven't tried them out on the pavement yet. Unfortunately it takes a bit of trial and error to get it right.
